DESAVO CARES
Since our earliest days at the start and height of the pandemic, DESAVO has proactively sponsored and partnered with various organizations, especially those that could not simply work remotely or sit on the sidelines. To date, we have donated over 100,000 masks to cultural institutions, public schools and organizations, including:
Hispanic Federation
The Hispanic Federation (HF) focuses on empowering and advancing Hispanic communities through local, state, and national advocacy. HF works with over 100 Latino grassroots nonprofits, as well as organizations, government officials, and private sector partners.
Harlem Children’s Zone
The Harlem Children's Zone (HCZ) is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty in Central Harlem (New York City) and lead the way for other long-distressed communities to do the same. HCZ serves more than 22,500 children and families annually through parenting workshops, a preschool program, three charter schools, and child-oriented health programs.
Children’s Aid
Children's Aid, formerly the Children's Aid Society, is one of America’s oldest and largest child welfare nonprofits (founded in 1853 in New York City). Children's Aid helps tens of thousands of disadvantaged NYC children succeed annually, by providing comprehensive services of adoption and foster care, after-school and weekend programs, arts, camps, early childhood education, events, family support, medical, mental health, and dental, juvenile justice, legal advocacy, special initiatives, sports and recreation, and youth development programs.
Hispanic Scholarship Fund
Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) is the largest non-profit organization in the US supporting Hispanic American higher education and has awarded over $675 million in scholarships; HSF is also the sole administrator of The Gates Scholarship by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
United Community Schools
United Community Schools (UCS) operates the largest community school network in New York City --31 schools and more than 20,000 students. UCS actively works to improve student achievement by addressing the educational, emotional, social and health issues that can stand in the way of learning.
Allergy & Asthma Network and Sanofi
Allergy & Asthma Network (AAN) is the leading US nonprofit organization uniting and advocating on behalf of 60 million Americans with asthma, allergies and related conditions, especially for those among at-risk and underserved populations. Sanofi is a global biopharmaceutical company focused on human health. DESAVO supported the Trusted Messengers project, developed by AAN and Sanofi, to help slow the spread of COVID-19 across the US.
Jersey City Vaccine Centers
From the start of the vaccine effort by Jersey City, New Jersey, to help vulnerable senior citizens in neighborhoods hardest hit by COVID-19, DESAVO supported healthcare workers on the front lines of the vaccine deployment.
ADHARSHILA
Adharshila, an NGO in India whose mission is to ensure sustainable slum development, works for the upliftment of the underprivileged through skill development certificate programs, education programs, and women's healthcare clinics.
SPHOORTI Foundation
Sphoorti is a non-profit organization in India that cares for underprivileged children by providing healthcare and education through 20 after-school study centers.
